LOST LIT presents Stonecoast MFA in NYC Reading!
On Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 7:00pm, you're cordially invited to an evening of readings by Elizabeth Searle, an award winning writer and Stonecoast professor, as well as current MFA students. Afterwards, please stay and meet the readers at a small reception to follow.
Event Details:
Low-residency MFA programs are lauded for their flexibility and unobtrusive nature to students lives, yet at the expense of lacking a frequent, local, in-person writers community. Join us for a special night of readings by the Stonecoast MFA program (ranked #4 nationally by Poets & Writers Magazine), and see this low-residency myth debunked.
Featured readers include Bobbie Ford, Lindsey Wells, Richard Squires, Alexis Paige, Alexandria Delcourt, Cristina Perachio, Nora Grosvenor, and faculty member Elizabeth Searle.
Elizabeth Searle, is the author of four books of fiction: CELEBRITIES IN DISGRACE, a novella and stories; A FOUR-SIDED BED, a novel nominated for an American Library Association Book Award; MY BODY TO YOU, a story collection that won the Iowa Short Fiction Prize and a 2011 novel, GIRL HELD IN HOME. Her screenplay for A FOUR-SIDED BED won Best Adapted Screenplay in the American International Film Festival (summer, 2012).
Emcees for the night, Kristabelle Munson and Bobbie Ford. Kristabelle is a Stonecoast MFA candidate as well as a Lost Lit Writing Workshop veteran.
